Continuing from the previous article on Natural Magick

“Magick is the Science of understanding oneself and one’s conditions. It is the Art of applying that understanding in action.”

— Aleister Crowley

The mind is where the real magick begins. This is where the ambrosia that feeds your magickal wisdom is stored. Your mind is your greatest instrument of magick you will ever poses and is divided into the Conscious, Subconscious and what the famous Psychologist Carl Jung called the Super-conscious or Greater self. This thought is nothing new and stems from some of the greatest and oldest ancient cultures spread through all of the worlds continents.

The only way you can really change your life is by changing yourself

The magick of thought is the drive of your magickal mind, but it doesn’t stop there. In order to manifest you need to develop the thought into an action that will produce a result. There is an ancient Greek Maxim that says:

“Your thought become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your character, your character shapes your destiny, your destiny is your fate and no one can escape their fate”

All that translates to is you and only you are able to perform magick for ‘yourself’ and have the power that will change your life and in the process shape other people’s lives too.

The anatomy of the thought

So how does all this work?

Magick is driven by non-physical, magickal structures connected to your brain called mental areas. They have the role of your motor cortex (turning intent into specific commands) plus your muscles (executing those commands in the physical world).

You have dozens of mental areas, each one dedicated to a specific task (one for physical effects, another for communicating with systems, a third for handling connections, etc).

Unlike systems (which are shared by all users), your mental areas belong to you.

As you practice magick, more mental areas will come online and connect to your brain.

Conscious and Unconscious Magick

Conscious thought while doing magick allows you to learn new skills faster and gain a better understanding of magick.

When magickal practitioners first begin it is their unconscious mind they are tapping in to. By thinking of what your unconscious mind is doing while you are doing magick this will trigger new connections to your conscious mind. By becoming conscious of how you’re doing magick is the beginning of recognizing the power of your ‘Magickal Mind’
