The History of Thanksgiving

A day late but very informative.

Witches Of The Craft®

Thanksgiving Turkey

Thanksgiving Day, annual national holiday in the United States and Canada celebrating the harvest and other blessings of the past year. Americans generally believe that their Thanksgiving is modeled on a 1621 harvest feast shared by the English colonists (Pilgrims) of Plymouth and the Wampanoag people. The American holiday is particularly rich in legend and symbolism, and the traditional fare of the Thanksgiving meal typically includes turkey, bread stuffing, potatoes, cranberries, and pumpkin pie. Many gurus and philosophers agree with this mysterious observation, saying that this world we perceive as real is actually an illusion, not unlike a film being projected on a screen. Most of us are so involved in the projection that we don’t understand it for what it is. We are completely caught up in the illusion, imagining that…

Sometimes, however, this journey is more metaphorical, and can indicate that you’ll have to keep up the good work for quite some time. Recognition of your triumph can then come with financial rewards or some much-needed attention and praise for your achievement.
